Over the last two weeks, Year 3 have been diving into the world of collaboration, discovering that two, four, or even thirty heads are often better than one. This teamwork was in full swing during our Reading Rounders carousel, where the children practised “thinking out loud” to explore our class novel, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Using the ‘Reasoning Line’ in Maths, they worked in groups of four to tackle complex two-step word problems.
The classroom erupted with energy during our Volcano presentations, which required turn-taking and shared research to showcase their geographical knowledge.

Finally, the children put their heads together in partnerships to navigate the map of Europe, successfully locating capital cities through joint effort. It’s been a fantastic fortnight of listening, sharing, and succeeding as one big team!
